Alison's Story
he has extensive clinical experience as a psychotherapist working with the HSE, Tusla, in Private Practice and Charity based organisations (Oasis Ballyfermot and Wexford Rape Crisis). In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, she has over 15 years’ experience as a Yoga therapist. In her private practice, she works with clients of all ages and stages with any issue that presents, but over the years has gained speciality in working with complex trauma and in particular, Abuse and DSGBV. Alison has also gained speciality in working with neurodivergence in people of all ages and stages.

Alongside psychotherapy, Alison specialises in Yoga Therapy and offers both group classes and one to one sessions for anyone seeking healing through the movement of the body. Alison specialises in using the movement of yoga to deepen and strengthen the mind body connection providing internal structures to help deepen mental health resilience. Yoga therapy works well for those aspects of our mental health that feel out of the reach of language.

She is a lecturer on the MA Counselling and Psychotherapy programme in DBS providing workshops on the work of Short-Term Therapy. She holds an BA Psychology and MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, She is YA Yoga 500, Yin and Pregnancy Yoga qualified and certified.
